Filip Zumbrunn, Director of Photography, born 1969 in Zurich, Switzerland
In 1987 Zumbrunn won the 1. Price of the Swiss Youth-Film-Festival with his S-8mm Production "Timeless".
After graduating from High School in 1989, he started working in the Filmindustry as an Electrician and then as a Clapper/Loader.
From 1993 on he was working as a First Camera-Assistant and Focus Puller for many different Commercial-, Corporate-, Documentary- and Feature Films.
Since 2000 Filip Zumbrunn works as a freelance Director of Photography and in 2005 he won the Special Juryprize for Best Cinematography at the Swiss Filmprize with the Film "Strähl".
2008 he won the Price for Best Cinematography at the Brooklyn International Filmfestival for the italian film "Fuori Dalle Corde". Further Prices under "Awards".
Zumbrunn is a member of the European- and of the Swiss Film Academy and lives with his wife and two daughters in Zurich, Switzerland.
He is represented by the well known agency "die agenten" in Berlin and works currently on international productions all over Europe.

1987 gewann Zumbrunn den 1. Preis der Schweizerischen Jugend-Film-Tage mit seiner S-8 Produktion "Zeitlos". Nach der Matura 1989 war er als Beleuchter für diverse Werbe-, Auftrags-, und Spielfilme, ab 1993 als Kameraassistent für Werbe-, Dokumentations-, Auftrags-, und Spielfilme tätig. Seit 2000 arbeitet er als selbständiger Kameramann und 2005 gewann Zumbrunn den Spezialpreis für beste Kamera im Film "Strähl" am Schweizer Filmpreis.

Filip Zumbrunn ist sowohl Mitglied der European- als auch der Schweizer Filmakademie und lebt mit seiner Frau und zwei Töchtern in Zürich.
Er wird von der renommierten Berliner Agentur "die agenten" vertreten und arbeitet zur Zeit auf internationalen Produktionen in Europa.
